James Whitner’s A Ma Maniére routinely strives to make sneakers more than the sum of their parts, placing elegant yet simple designs in storytelling environments that are deeply nuanced and layered. The Atlanta boutique’s Holiday 2025 campaign is called Built For This, a story rooted in resilience and the pursuit of success, even when nobody’s watching. With that announcement comes the official unveiling of the A Ma Maniére Jordan 6 “Smokey Mauve,” set to release November 21st.
Sticking to the A Ma Maniére color palette we’ve come to know, the sneaker pairs a rich nubuck upper with “Smokey Mauve” hits on the tongue, branded elements, and outsole in tandem with translucent accents. A quilted sock liner carries over quality cues from AMM’s past Jordan 3 and Jordan 4 collaborations, while the inner tongue features an intricate embroidered pattern.
Inside the box, original artwork by Jammie Holmes adds an emotional layer to the project. The piece, titled Malcolm, depicts a young man attending one of Malcolm X’s speeches to the Black Muslims, capturing an expression that sits somewhere between exhaustion and hope. The drop also includes a capsule of refined essentials such as a knit polo, track jacket, and matching pants. A Ma Maniére also has an Air Jordan 4 “Dark Mocha” expected to join the Built For This campaign later down the line.
To mark the release, A Ma Maniére will host a series of events in Atlanta, Washington D.C., and Houston. The sneaker retails for $225 USD and drops Friday, November 21st at 12PM ET on a-ma-maniere.com and 11AM local time in-store at A Ma Maniére Atlanta, Houston, and Washington D.C. The EQL online draw opens Tuesday, November 11th at 11AM ET and closes Monday, November 17th at 3PM ET across all Whitaker Group retailers (A Ma Maniére, Social Status, APB, and JAIDE).
