Andrew Rizzo As far as “new school” sneaker collaborators go, Sp5der is probably adidas’ biggest get in recent memory. Young Thug’s streetwear brand has become something of a favorite among everyone from NBA players to tween hypebeasts, opening some promising doors for the Three Stripes to explore in future seasons. The adidas x Sp5der partnership officially begins in Spring 2026 with the release of two Superstar styles, one of which has just been unveiled by 18-year-old soccer megastar Lamine Yamal.
Shown here via images posted by Yamal to his Instagram story, the sneaker features an almost all-red colorway accented by black stripes. This is one of two Sp5der x adidas Superstar styles in the works, joined by a hazy brown and yellow pair first unveiled at Sp5der’s Sweet Tooth Rodeo event earlier this year (included in the gallery below).
The collection is defined by some key hardware updates. For one, the Three Stripes placement takes after the adidas Supermodified, attaching to the three forwardmost eyelets. Both styles also feature puffy tongues and glossy leather finishes that include faint spider web graphics around the quarter, nearly invisible on the red pair. Sp5der logos appear on the outsole of both versions, and while unseen, we can confidently predict co-branding on the backtabs and insoles. adidas’ decision to have Lamine Yamal play a role in the rollout is telling, aligning perfectly with Sp5der’s target audience and hinting at the partnership’s long-term ambitions.
