The Air Skylon series is on the smaller end of cult-classics amongst runners. The second model from 1992 is what most are familiar with thanks to a considerable Retro attempt in 2018 that including a collaboration with Fear Of God. We best recognize the model for its spray-paint gradient of vibrant colors used on the mid-panel.
The rest of the Skylon series isn’t nearly as recognizable as that second model, but Nike is bringing back the Skylon 11 in Fall 2026. Released in the late 2000s, the Nike Skylon 11 came smack in the middle of the brand’s super lightweight and breathable running shoe movement, equipped with Zoom Air units and a Free-grooved bottoms. Can’t think of a better one-two punch for running, although Nike is full subscribed to the mega-thick soles at this current juncture with the Vomero Premium.
