Move over Air Jordan 5. While Mike’s fifth signature was the apple of the Jumpman’s eye in 2025, shifting our calendars to 2026 will give way to the 35th anniversary for the Air Jordan 6. As the information cycle of upcoming Jordan releases marches ahead, we’re getting another piece of the puzzle of how the AJ6 will celebrate (and be celebrated), as the Air Jordan 6 “White/Infrared” is now confirmed for a retro.
Of course, this now places two colorways on the pedestal as the most anticipated for AJ6 devotees, now marking off a late-year addition to the Air Jordan 6 “Reverse Infrared.” Whereas that shoe digs into the archives for a once-sample edition, simply put, this revives one of the most celebrated colorways of the Air Jordan 6, revived in 2010 alongside its blackened sibling and in 2014 on its own. With the shift back to OG aesthetics on kicks like the Air Jordan 1 “Bred” and various Jordan 4 colorways, that initiative should be intact for this edition, likely tooled akin to its 1991 original with “Nike Air” on the heel (as seen via the mockup below).
Surprisingly, no season has been attached to the Air Jordan 6 “White/Infrared,” instead reported for a “late 2026” release. More than likely, expect that to mean either Fall or Holiday ’26, a span from July to December.
