Mattias Gollin’s $750 Vans Collab Drops December 5th

You’ve really gotta give Vans credit for what they’ve pulled off in 2025. While the brand’s hottest pair might have come from in-house with the Chanel-inspired Old Skool “Souvenir,” Vans has been on an absolute heater on the collaboration front. Names like Valentino, Travis Barker, WTAPS, and even K-POP Demon Hunters will have checked off projects when it’s all said and done, and that’s still only scratching the surface.

In just a few days, Vans and self-described “transversal designer” Mattias Gollin will finally drop their long-anticipated Vans Authentic collaboration, a follow-up to the Slip-On trio they released last year. The Italian designer has built his reputation on a cryptic, almost enigmatic digital presence and a signature aesthetic centered around covering existing silhouettes with thousands of tiny gems, a technique he has applied not only to Vans but also to collaborations with Timberland and Moon Boot.

That philosophy carries straight into the Mattias Gollin Authentics. Each pair takes about eight hours to complete and features roughly two thousand gems, all applied by hand in Italy. The base starts with Vans’ iconic checkerboard, with the white squares dressed in varying sizes of pearl and gold beads, while black beads bring texture and depth to the darker areas. Gollin’s name appears in serif lettering on both the tongue and insoles.

The Mattias Gollin x Vans Authentic retails for $750 USD, a reflection of its premium construction and the intensive craftsmanship behind it. Limited pairs will release exclusively in Miami on December 5th, and interested buyers must reserve an appointment at mattiasgollin.com. See detailed images below if you’re hunting a pair.
