Official Images Of The Nike Air Max DN8 Doernbecher

On top of commanding full attention from sneakerheads, Nike’s partnership with Doernbecher Children’s Hospital has been an incredibly fruitful one in its stated purpose of raising money for the Oregon institution. Beyond simply adding funds to the cause, the initiative continues to champion the design careers of actual patients; Medford’s own Raegan Scheid’s addition to the 2025 crop comes on the Nike Air Max DN8.

Now revealed via official images, the pastel-coated composition can be appreciated in its full glory. While our initial coverage of the 2026 class’ announcement highlighted some of the broadest strokes, this official set clarifies the whole design. However, we’d be remiss not to begin with the Swoosh’s own words, shown here with an insert card:

Nothing can keep Raegan **Scheid** off the softball field – not even open-heart surgery. Raegan’s determination is matched only by her creativity, which she put to good use when designing her shoe. The upper is covered with reflective sport graphics, while the Nike Air bubbles are printed with softball stitching. Since Raegan’s happy place is the beach, frothy waves splash across the midsole. And to help carry you forward in challenging times, she shared the words that keep her going: I CAN DO HARD THINGS.

Truly, those two aspects serve as the guiding light throughout the whole shoe, with beach vistas tinting graphic insoles, lending the vibrant tones throughout the upper, and influencing the crashing waves of the midsoles. Additional reinforcement of her love for sport comes with crossed bats on the gold dubraes for the right shoe. Flip over to the interior of the other for a final sentimental flourish, depicting the date of her initial surgery and the date she was able to hit the softball field again: 3.4.24 and 5.11.24, also included on an attachable hangtag.

The Doernbecher Freestyle 2025 collection, including Raegan Scheid’s Nike Air Max DN8 design featured here, is expected to release early in 2026. Catch a comprehensive official images gallery below.
