On a public level, Pharrell Williams’ adidas Jellyfish has been the “sneaker of the year” essentially since it first touched down, leading the pack in terms of resale value throughout the year and causing scenes of mobbed sidewalks in a sneaker landscape where those moments are exceedingly rare.
However, the end of the year has brought more “traditional” recognition of that status, including in Footwear News’ Achievement Awards ceremony. The multi-hyphenate and Virginia native brought home the night’s biggest honor, and fittingly, provided a look at how the jumbo-sized silhouette will aim to repeat. Williams debuted a new version of the adidas Jellyfish in a tonal blend of tans and beige, save for a splash of off-color sky blue and for the jet black outsole traction and the extended Three Stripes branding at the sides.
This assumedly upcoming edition comes at a moment when the set of expected editions was nearly running dry; the semi-unreleased all-black already the public with that aforementioned NYC takeover. Looking ahead, this now joins a pair in red/black worn (again) by the man himself in October in the silhouette’s potential 2026 plans, or at least those known to us. Taken together, either one signals a break from the more “traditional” tech runner colorways that’ve draped the model to date.
A public release for the adidas Jellyfish in tan and blue hasn’t yet been confirmed, but you can get an advance look via the shots below.
