Andrew Rizzo Some might say that the viral sneaker-loafer (or “snoafer”) trend would be best left in 2025. Not New Balance, though. The brand that pioneered the movement has been continuing to trot out the polarizing New Balance 1906L in new styles, including this new multi-color look that might very well be the model’s most visually striking to date.
Whether “striking” is a good or bad thing in this context is something we’ll leave up to you. The 1906L here takes on multiple bright accent colors: pink around the collar, green piping around the toe box, red detailing on the sides, and a vibrant royal blue on the outsole. The rest of the upper comes in varying shades of black and grey, while the midsole touches on khaki tones. While the 1906L has indeed offered up multiple styles that feel truly 9-to-5 acceptable and capable of styling, this isn’t one of them in all honesty.
