Jordan 9 “Flint Grey,” Converse Shai 001 “Ares Grey,” And This Week’s Best Releases

It was an explosive re-entry into the slate last week, as some tamer weeks to begin the year finally gave way to some real, bonafide heat.

As longtime readers will know, not every slate is as stacked as the next, and even if we’re now sorting through some hotly-anticipated products, you simply can’t expect every period to be heaters wall-to-wall. Indeed, the quantity on offer this week takes a step back, but a diverse offering should have something in store for nearly everyone. Basketball fans eat the best, as the Converse Shai 001 “Ares Grey” makes landfall, accompanied by a restock of the “Family Pack.” The Kobe 1 “81 Points” additionally celebrates an anniversary, while the Reebok Shaqnosis Low sees the Big Fella change chape. Off the hardwood, you can look forward to the SNKRS release of the Nike SB Air Max 95 “Cacao Wow,” the dawn of the New Balance Gator Run, and the first-ever retro for the Air Jordan 9 “Flint Grey.”

January 20th is a toss up at the leadoff spot, as the SNKRS release of the Nike Air Max 95 SB “Cacao Wow” and the debut of the Ja 3 “Twelve Time” jockey for positioning. From there, a delayed drop of the Dunk Low Leather makes good on its earlier promised drop toward the top of the month.

January 21st clears out for the New Balance Gator Run, an ’80s-inspired, gridiron-tooled entry into the fashion space.

January 22nd is easily the most stacked of this week, beginning with the Converse Shai 001 “Ares Gray” in what could be one of the final monochromatic editions of Gilgeous-Alexander’s signature. The return of the Nike Kobe 1 “81 Points” on that seminal game’s 20th anniversary is next, followed by the Parra Vans Old Skool as the artist ventures onto another Vans classic. As if to line up with his Lakers teammate, the Reebok Shaqnosis Low adds a fresh cut to the Mobius pack classic. More hoops is on tap via the Jordan Tatum 4 “Chicago” and A’One “Lem Lime” to close out.

January 23rd introduces a new silhouette, as two trendy Swoosh products merge for the Nike Total 90 Shox Magia, entering in “Sail” and “Pecan.” In Japan, the Netflix Converse Chuck Taylor All-Star also sees release.

January 24th is held up by the Air Jordan 9 “Flint Grey,” the central Jumpman drop of the week and the first-ever return of the 2000s colorway.
