Willy Chavarria’s rocket ship trajectory in the adidas universe is only pitching up. After spending their inaugural capsules together exploring brand heritage, delivered with dressed-up takes on the Jabbar franchise or the Forum ’84 Hi, the next steps in the partnership quickly snap to the future, as the Willy Chavarria x adidas Megaride AG nearly instantly jumps from runway preview to public release.
The silhouette as a whole, eye-catching as it may be, isn’t a total first look as Paris Fashion Week rolls on; we initially caught wind of this shoe in pink and blue in June ’25. While the bulky, xenomorphic TPU build of the Megaride AG is nowhere to be found as the sneaker nears its market debut, there’s an abundance of attention-grabbing aspects to latch onto. To wit, the mainline Megaride franchise has utilized the titular tech across relatively orthodox lines, lining up its circular pods in orderly and congruent fashion (see the Predator Megaride, Megaride Core, or Megaride proper).

The Megaride AG platform flips that history on its head, bending and contorting those propulsion pods for oblong, abstract shapes that inform the rest of the composition here. In the uppers, though most of the real estate is dominated by a tech combo of synthetics and mesh, that same woozy, almost psychedelic air informs curved overlays between the quarter and toe. Said to be inspired by “intergalactic space,” Chavarria and adidas tab blue-on-cream and red-on-black colorways for this IPO, rounded out with a heavy dose of reflective co-branding details throughout.
Despite being shown off in the Willy Chavarria Fall/Winter 2026 showcase, the Willy Chavarria adidas Megaride AG is far more imminent, due out on January 30th in both colorways for $220 via CONFIRMED and partnering retailers.
