The success of any of those out-of-house efforts is surely welcome news in and of itself, but as always, it doesn’t hurt to help whet palettes for more coming from NB on their own merits. Now joining its spawn, the 991v2, in serving as an icon of their Flimby-based Made in UK family, the 991 doubles down on elevated materials with a refined “Chipmunk” execution. Hemming close to the formalwear-adjacent earthy tones seen on the Allerdale, this pair plants light brown overlays with subtle off-white foundations a layer below below.
