We’ve noted on many occasions before the absolute deluge of new silhouettes coming out of New Balance HQ. In just the past twelve months, it’s been the Gator Run, the 1890, the 5030, the P400, the P350, and plenty, plenty more. The catalog is absolutely stocked to the brim, and perhaps as a result, one of the fresher faces from previous seasons has just changed up its strategy.

It’s the New Balance 2010 that’s taken a step, dropping its price point from $160 to $145. That’s now been applied across all of the available colorways, but the news rides in at the same time as a “Harbor Grey/Fairweather Blue” colorway. Overall, the “Grey Days” energy that the brand has monopolized for so long is here in spades, with three adjacent shades layered in the uppers. It’s the flare of cerulean within the ABZORB cushioning and the midfoot plate that really sets this one off, a subtler step on an overall color-forward journey the model has increasingly tested out.
