Everyone back to your corners. The news of Steph Curry signing to Li-Ning means that sneaker partisans across the globe will have to toss the jersey renders into the trash folder, and all other brands are left to their existing signature rosters. The Jumpman will always have moments like #30 lacing up the Jordan 12 “Flu Game,” but don’t cry for them, either; their squad still boasts perennial All-NBAers and rising talents like Cameron Boozer.

All of a sudden, amid names like the NBA Draft hopeful and rising stars like Paolo Banchero, Jayson Tatum is an elder statesman. His Tatum 4 has moved along in metronome-like fashion, with a splashy, city-specific introduction well in the past and now having cleared space to explore simple, clean colorways. Nothing speaks to that more clearly than the “Pure Platinum” version at hand; though the shades of white differ across each section, overall this executes a Team Bank-like pristine profile with some shimmering spots in between and icy traction to deliver some off-color pop.

The Jordan Tatum 4 “Pure Platinum” should be hitting shelves soon, seeing as global Nike sites have already listed this pair for purchase. Expect the standard $130 retail price upon arrival.
