Andrew Rizzo The state of the Pharrell x adidas partnership is a tale of two extremes. On one hand sits the incredibly chunky adidas Jellyfish, one of the hottest new silhouettes of 2025 and a surefire sell-out with every new colorway drop. On the polar opposite end sits the adidas Virginia Vario Flat Earther, a modern reclamation of a slim 2000s yoga shoe that’s barely managed to crack through the public consciousness. Following a two-style launch in April, Pharrell and co. are authoring the model’s latest chapter with a suede pack for the summer months.
Black and royal blue colorways are on tap, each featuring contrasting white accents on the stripes, adidas branding, and traction. Suede does feel like a more aesthetically fitting material for the Flat Earther compared to leather, slotting more naturally into the low-profile, ballet shoe genre that’s taken off in recent years. Whether these sit or sell should say a lot about whether there’s a viable path forward for the model, or if it quietly fades away.
