The Nike Air Liquid Max’s New Wavy Build Wears “Team Grey”

Nike has always kept innovation at the heart of their operation, but Air Max remains their beating heart, a tech legacy that’s been there stride for stride in achievements both historical and modern; from the Air Jordan 1 to the Pegasus Premium, from the Air Max 1 to the Alphafly.

It’s why our ears begin to perk up every March, awaiting what new (often literal) shape that Air Max will morph into for the annual celebration of the same name. The Nike Air Liquid Max is 2026’s contribution, pulling inspiration from the rainforest for a paradoxically slimmed platform with a specifically mapped network of cushioning units below a futuristic upper.

In official copy, the Swoosh readily acknowledges that the Liquid Max is a divisive proposition, but onlooker sentiment isn’t stopping them from transforming the silhouette further as its journey continues. Shown here is the Nike Air Liquid Max “Team Grey,” another colorway which reimagines the nascent model’s upper layout with more traditional siding and wavy trademarks throughout. Contrasting an eccentric earthy edition that debuted this look, here this fresh build drapes the entire shoe in “Team Grey” to allow the geometry of Liquid Max to speak for itself.

Expect the Nike Air Liquid Max “Team Grey” to drop this July, maintaining its $230 retail price upon arrival.
