John Kim Willy Chavarria’s partnership with adidas continues to expand; during his Spring/Summer 2027 runway presentation in Paris, the acclaimed designer quietly teased his next collaborative project with the Three Stripes: a refined take on the iconic Stan Smith. While adidas has yet to officially announce the release, two colorways made appearances at the end of the show when Chavarria himself appeared to take a bow.
Willy laced up what appeared to be the standard White/Fairway Green pair, but with some key embellishments that include a hairy suede heel-tab, a “W” on the heel, and a rose embroidered on the upper in green thread. Meanwhile, Stan Smith himself donned another version that features the hairy grass-like green suede throughout the upper.
The teaser arrives during a busy stretch for Willy Chavarria and adidas, whose partnership has quickly become one of the industry’s most closely watched collaborations like his recent Mexico-themed collection that include goalie jerseys and reworked Copas.
Official release details for the Willy Chavarria x adidas Stan Smith have yet to be announced, but a release is possibly due out later this year or in the SS27 season.
