The Three Stripes sit as a clear winner of the summer, extremely visible throughout the festivities for their sponsorship of both the #1 and #2 World Cup teams and riding that momentum throughout a variety of soccer-inspired lifestyle capsules interspersed from kickoff to final whistle. As any sports-obsessive certainly knows, the back-to-back highs of the NBA playoffs and the World Cup have more than a few of us in a real lull, but the Hellstar x adidas Electric 2 Football Cleats are proof of the brand’s next major goal.
If adidas has anything to say about it, they’ll be just as much of a factor on NFL Sundays. Though they’ve got the past and future of the quarterback position via endorsees Patrick Mahomes and Fernando Mendoza, it’s two-way phenom Travis Hunter who demonstrated their renewed focus last season, as the Jaguars star helped roll out the adidas AE1 cleats.
On top of converted heat, utilizing their A-list collaborators to boost their inline performance wear should help bring the heat. Hellstar takes that literally, playing off the signature flames seen via their work on the Superstar and Megaride. Aligning with that vis-tech silhouette, the cleat wears a greyscale white/grey/black palette to begin the festivities before shifting to a more menacing black/white/red palette to round out this two-pack. Signature spell-out text and more flames toggle from left to right underfoot, similarly mirrored by Three Stripes and face badges on the heels.
