Matt Varga Update: As alluded to in our original update, the Cactus Jack x Carlos Alcaraz capsule is available only to ticketed attendees for the US Open on August 31st. Nike is also dropping the ostrich skin Travis Scott Air Force 1 on August 31st at the brand’s 47 Chrystie St. pop-up.
Travis Scott’s cosign and design touch is still one of the more bankable assets in Nike’s bag. It stands to reason, then, that the brand would seek to utilize his talents on silhouettes beyond his vaunted Air Jordan 1 Low OG series. After focusing much of ’24 and ’25 on building out his signature roster, it seems that La Flame and Beaverton have shifted their gaze onto performance footwear, as Carlos Alcaraz appears at the US Open wearing a Travis Scott x Nike Zoom Vapor 12.
Our clearest angles come from social media coming out of the US Open, in between shots of Arthur Ashe Stadium and Honey Deuces, depicting the defending champ in the subtle cream and brown application. Of course, the indomitable Reverse Swoosh proudly sits on the lateral side. Additionally, a new spot narrated by Travis Scott also teased this upcoming pair alongside some ombre apparel options. On the rapper’s feet was the Travis Scott Air Force 1 “Ice Blue,” a shoe pinned against this performance counterpart in a showcase back in July.
Both pairs mentioned here, including the Travis Scott x Nike Zoom Vapor 12, are expected to release during the Fall 2026 window, placing the duo sometime in September. Given the fact that the US Open is ongoing, we ultimately wouldn’t be too surprised if there are launch plans in the works to coincide with the event (Nike has a store on the grounds this year, located just outside of Louis Armstrong stadium).
