The adidas Adistar Control 5 is getting pushed like no other silhouette in the brand’s portfolio right now, continuing to lean on collaborations to drive eyes to mainline looks. Following projects by Unheardof, Larry June, and more comes a striking new take by LA streetwear brand Menace, and it might just be the best of the bunch.
Shown here via on-foot images taken at ComplexCon, Menace’s Adistar Control 5 appears to draw inspiration from heatmaps. The sides and toe box make up one continuous “zone” so to speak, running a white to yellow to red gradient akin to the hottest points on a map. The overlays are done in black with a slight lenticular effect, complemented by silver stripes with Menace branding and another Menace stamp on the tongue. The bulk of the upper and midsole, meanwhile, arrive in dark purple.
The Menace adidas Adistar Control 5 doesn’t have a release date yet, though a Holiday 2026 drop seems most likely at this juncture. Check out detailed images below and visit our Sneaker Release Dates page for more.
