The New Balance 2010 Is Still Going Patent Leather Crazy With This “Halloween” Pair

If it ain’t broke, don’t fix it. New Balance’s well-established high-volume approach to new silhouettes has allowed the brand to carve out territory far beyond their usual “dad shoe” home turf, but there are still some angles that they haven’t spoken to. The New Balance 2010 has found unexpected success by leaning on patent leather, something they’ve utilized for several off-white colorways with red and green trim and one that drapes the entirety of the shoe’s body in the glossy material.

Evidently, the patent leather will continue until morale improves. A third colorway now joins those red and green predecessors, swapping out its trim in the heel ABZORB and collar/laces for bright “Team Orange.” Given the heavy presence of black and orange, there’s a real “Halloween” style undercurrent playing out, but like the pairs that came before it, this offers up a far flashier profile than NB typically trades in.

The New Balance 2010 “Halloween” is available now, retailing for $145. Grab yours using the links below.
