The James household is for sure giving out the best candy on the block. LeBron James, as NBA Twitter can attest, really loves Halloween. Like really loves it, balling out every year with an annual party and elaborate costumes that let fans and haters alike load up the meme reserves. It’s not surprising, then, that the King’s next Halloween shoe centers around one of his best.
In 2017, shortly after the remade “It” movie hit theaters, LeBron took to social media in a Pennywise costume that left him barely recognizable, almost like he got a full fleet of Hollywood makeup artists to bring the vision to life. Nearly a decade later, Pennywise serves as the inspiration behind this upcoming Nike LeBron 24.
We recently had a chance to peep the shoes during a trip to Nike HQ in New York, embedded below for your viewing pleasure. While faint, an image of LeBron’s Pennywise costume looms across the entire upper. The colorway is anchored by multiple dark greys, while red hits on the laces, Swooshes, and crown branding nod to the horror character’s fangs. The sneaker is officially named the LeBron 24 “Storm Drain,” alluding to the place where the killer clown lives and hunts for his next prey.
The Nike LeBron 24 “Storm Drain” aka “Pennywise” releases soon via Nike and select retailers, priced at $200. Check out detailed images below and visit our Sneaker Release Dates page to browse more upcoming hoops shoes.
