Nike Returns To Surplus Sydney With Carhartt WIP And Custom Air Maxes

Surplus Sydney is back for its second iteration, Australia’s premier streetwear festival powered by Supply and Nike Sportswear. Though there was bespoke product offered up Down Under in the inaugural 2025 edition, there’s no doubt that both brands are stepping up their effort for the follow-up. The Carhartt Nike Air Max Goadome, launching early at the event, has already turned heads, but now the two principals have announced a team-up in the Supply x Nike Air Max Plus.

It’s no coincidence that this collaboration takes place on the same silhouette that the Homerun effort did last year, tapping into the inherent cultural capital that the TN has in Australia. While this Air Max Plus may look cut-and-dry on the medial side, what with a jet black overall foundation, flip over to see an oversized Swoosh that cuts from the upper onto the midsole. It almost reminds one of football cleats in that way, later giving way to similarly chunky spell-out text on the heel and blue tints on co-branded badges on the tongue and heel and barely blue Air units.
