Nike’s latest Air Max 95 has roots that run all the way back to the turn of the millennium. For Holiday 2026, the Beaverton brand is revisiting 2001’s iconic “Lux Pack” with a wonderfully familiar leather interpretation, this time in collaboration with Italy’s One Block Down.
According to Sneaker Market Romania, four Air Max 95 Lux colorways are expected to release as part of an upcoming One Block Down x Nike collection. Released in 2001, Nike’s “Lux Pack” reimagined several of the brand’s most recognizable silhouettes with elevated materials, including the Air Max 95, Air Trainer SX, Air Force 1 Mid, and Air Force 1 Low. Supreme famously revisited the Air Max 95 Lux concept with its 2019 collaboration, delivering black, red, and blue colorways that closely mirrored the pleated leather construction of the original 2001 release.
One Block Down’s version stays close to the original 2001 pair, saddled with premium black leather paneling, leather lace loops, and a black leather spine and tongue to match. The main visual difference lives near the vamp. Where the 2001 edition featured perforated leather, One Block Down’s take comes with textured leather made to look like the mesh that appears on standard styles. There’s also the question of where it’s built: the original came out of Nike’s Montebelluna factory, while the current pair’s product info makes no “Made in Italy” mention and shows close to standard retail pricing ($210). In the absence of an actual “Made in Italy” construction, the One Block Down connection serves to create that link.
The One Block Down x Nike Air Max 95 Lux is set to release Holiday 2026 in four colorways. Peep official images of the black style below and stay tuned for further updates.
In related news, the Air Max 90 is dropping in a premium black leather style as well.
