Matt Varga It’s already been a banner year for one Ariyan Arslani. There’s his typical focus on music and food that’s lit his career for well over a decade now, landing his spacecraft on PLANET FROG and welcoming NYC Mayor Zohran Mamdani into the world of F*ck That’s Delicious. Yet when it comes to his relationship with New Balance, this year has arguably been the most significant since his debut under the Boston brand. Action Bronson broke ground on his first signature sneaker, the New Balance 2811, pairing an all-new upper with the comfort platform of the New Balance 2010. Following the debut Mikročpske colorway and a heist-themed duo of the “Blackjacques” and “The Whisperer,” two new looks have arrived, set for Holiday 2026.
As Bronson noted himself during a panel with fellow New Balance A-lister Ronnie Fieg, Bronson’s approach to color-ups has always been more about feel and expression rather than well-established, staid combinations. These two New Balance 2811 colorways might be the best demonstration of that on the silhouette yet.
Either one focuses on vibrant pastels, beginning with a cool-coded version that utilizes baby blue mesh and a neon green translucent cage before dipping into an earthy combination of tans and greys underfoot. The other isn’t any less loud; patches of fuchsia and burgundy are heavily contrasted by frozen blue on the cage and “N” branding at the quarter. Certainly, you can make the connection to the original “Baklava” 990v6 or the 992 “Digitalis Purpurea,” respectively, but Bronson does well to make these colorways unto themselves as he advances further into his signature journey.
Despite official images of these red and blue New Balance 2811 colorways coming to light via NB imagery, we haven’t heard firm launch details just yet. We’re expecting these to touch down sometime before the end of the year, carrying a $200 retail price. Notably, these official shots likely indicate a wider launch than we’ve seen for this model before; the aforementioned first three colorways were only distributed through SPECIALIZING IN LIFE.
