Nike Basketball has begun a new era with the official introduction, or return rather, of three series that future models will be built around and categorized by: GT Flight, GT Force, and for our purposes, GT Uptempo. After debuting on the feet of Dylan Harper of the Spurs, we’re now hit with pics of a new GT Uptempo colorway in white and gold.
Touted for “reactive speed,” the GT Uptempo looks a whole lot like the GT Cut 4 as far as the shape goes. Key tech specs include ZoomX 3.0 foam, an Air Zoom Strobel, a heel Air Zoom unit, a Cushlon carrier, and a TPU window and shank. The upper comes with an all-over engineered grid mesh not unlike that of the Air Jordan 41, providing lockdown without adding much weight. Most of this colorway appears in white, save for eye-catching gold hits on the forefoot Air Zoom callout, a gradient across the midsole, and the side Swooshes and other minor branded hits.
Alongside the introduction of the three new “Greater Than” franchises, Nike has grouped all of its current signature offerings into each. The GT Uptempo line is the most packed of the bunch, housing the Caitlin 1, Sabrina 3, Book 2, and KD 19.
The Nike GT Uptempo debuts Spring 2027 via Nike and select retailers. We suspect this “White/Gold” colorway will play a role in the rollout.
