Michael Le Whenever the Air Tuned Max enters the conversation, mention of Skepta‘s first collaboration with Nike quickly follows. And while the Grime artist is surely happy about the aforementioned pair’s return, he may be too busy with his forthcoming, collaborative Air Max Tailwind V to celebrate.
After teasing the release via Instagram, close-up, detailed images have surfaced courtesy of @samutaro. Unlike its inline counterparts, this Tailwind V bears a number of details signature to the early 2000s. Futuristic, aqua blue colors dress the base of the upper, its exterior layered over with not only TPU exoskeletons but also a hazy, black-dominant digital print. Elsewhere, miniature, chrome Swooshes lay atop the profile, matching the glossy, polished heel clip immediately behind. Blacked out treads, laces, and linings then round off the design adjacent to the toe and heel’s subtle iridescence.
