Michael Le Following a rather true-to-OG debut, the New Balance 992 is testing new ideas. This colorway — which is ostensibly dubbed “Mix Media” — does just that, incorporating motifs ostensibly inspired by competing brands.
Specifically, the pair likely borrows from Jordan Brand’s signature Elephant Print. Here, from the toe through the mudguard, the graphic is replicated rather closely, its grey patterns laid atop a darker base. Elsewhere, the construction is rather standard, sandwiching the aforementioned between blacked out paneling and a white tooling.
