Concepts Delivers A Kiwi-Strawberry-Flavored New Balance 992

While no longer the brand’s priority, the New Balance 922 continues to make headlines thanks to partnerships with Concepts, which has recently teased a kiwi-strawberry-inspired colorway.

At a quick glance, the newly-surfaced pair simply indulges in an autumn-friendly light brown across its premium suede and perforated leather upper, but closer inspection reveals more. The hits of near-fluorescent green that animate the profile “N” logos, top-most eye-stays and “CONC”/”EPTS” branding on the tongues nod to the inside of the kiwi fruit. ENCAP windows near the forefoot and most of the midsole’s heel component follow suit, further harkening to the nutrient-dense food. As per the Boston-based boutique’s standards, the latest New Balance collaboration also features another playful detail rounding out the concept: sock-liners boast images of strawberries, which complete the sneakers’ fruit-inspired mix. Special packaging for the joint-project also promotes the brown, green and red color palette associated to the aforementioned fruits.

Enjoy a first-look at the pair here below, and anticipate a NewBalance.com launch soon.
