From updates to fan-favorites (see: Air Max 90 Duck Camo) to revolutionary refreshes (see: Air Max 90 FlyEase), the silhouette has amassed an impressive roster only three months into the festivities. For its latest, Tinker Hatfield’s design simultaneously keeps things understated and ups the celebratory ante.
Akin to the Air Max 90 CS, which effectively kicked off the model’s return-to-OG-shape, this pair’s overall ensemble is left neutral. Various shades of white – namely “Bone” and “Sail” – divvy up the Air Max 90‘s most iconic components. Among them, mudguards, cassettes and TPU panels. Suede overlays across the forefoot and midfoot stand out from the bunch given their slightly darker shade and hairy texture. Yet, they pale in statement-making when compared to both insoles and outsoles: The former features Tom Sachs-like “Just Do It” branding and is constructed from cork à la 25th Anniversary Air Max 90 Cork; the latter is reminiscent of the forthcoming, fully-upcycled Space Hippie line.
