The second quarter of 2011 has seen quite a bit of attention focused on Stefan Janoski’s Nike SB signature line. Stef himself released a ton of teaser images through Twitter last month, and already during the first week of June we’ve seen a look at the Q1 ’12 releases along with an upcoming velcro-strapped variant. And if we can surmise from that new alteration’s existence that the Mid has been an early success, that notion will be affirmed when you see yet another new take on the Nike SB Zoom Stefan Janoski. This one isn’t sufficiently different from the original Zoom Stefan Janoski design to warrant a special name (yet), so the difference is left to the design, where the Janoski gets even deck-ier thanks to the inclusion of a heel lace to mimic the wraparound nature of a true boat shoe’s enclosure. Click through to see some more angles and let us know if the Nike SB Zoom Stefan Janoski is better with or without a heel lace, and stick with Sneaker News for updates including their release date (currently slated for Fall ’11). via N-SB

aren't they boat shoes pretty much anyway? They just add the lace in the back. also why release it in the fall, wouldn't you release a boat shoe before summer?
