Last year, Royalefam sent Mark Ong, aka SBTG, a display locker full of Nike Dunks. The 8 compartments included the Original 7 Nike Dunk Highs and left one for SBTG to fill with inspiration. He got the idea to start a collection of custom Dunks crafted around a theme of ficticious underdog teams called ‘Varsity Bones’. The first of these is the Folsom Prison Blues and the shoe looks to be spectacular. From these photos, we can see the use of premium selvage denim, some printed with poetry and/or song lyrics, plus a zippered tongue cover.
