Here’s a first look at an upcoming colorway that might stir some controversy with the sneakerheads and basketball fans up in the New York and Cleveland. Sneaker News confirmed the release of the Varsity Royal/Total Orange-White colorway of the Air Max LeBron VIII before a preview was even available – so here’s a preliminary look at the colorway that resembles both the New York Knicks jerseys as well as the Cleveland Cavaliers Hardwood Classics throwbacks. New York and Cleveland were the two frontrunners in the LeBron James sweepstakes and to say that emotions were toyed with would be an understatement. Team affiliations aside, this is a great colorway that some will compare to the Zoom LeBron IV ‘Birthday’ edition.
We also get a look two all new colorways that have never been previewed before; the first White/Blue pair features white leather with a blue tongue and a darker shade on the Flywire panels (a ‘Duke’ colorway perhaps) and the Black/Charcoal/Red pair draws comparisons to the recently re-released Dark Charcoal Air Jordan IX.
