Nike Sportswear collaborations with stores and boutiques have been few and far in between, but when it goes down, expect something out of this world. Nike has teamed up with Boston’s Bodega to produce a uniquely inspired colorway of the Nike Air Footscape Woven Chukka inspired by a theme called “Black Cat, Good Luck – Bad Luck”. American culture pins the Black Cat as a sign of misfortune, but that definition may vary depending on your region. Bodega’s take on the cultural superstition embodies itself onto the rugged Nike Air Footscape Woven Motion in an earthy Shale/Hazelnut-Black colorway, with supple hairy suede on the rand, a granite midsole, perforated suede uppers, and a cat-eye logo stitched onto the tongue. The entire package is brought together with a gum sole and Bodega branding in the form of a tongue tab and a supremely designed insole graphic.
