The criteria of what sneakers get scrapped and what continue onto the next stage of production is a process that we’ll never get a true grasp of, but if the fans had any direct input on the matter, they’d clamor for a release of these samples. Featuring a teal/grey suede upper with a white swoosh and a gum outsole, this basic colorway evokes the simplistic nature of early-season Nike SB that made it such a huge success. Although these are dubbed by the seller as the ‘Futura 2’, there is no conclusive evidence that Futura, a NY-based street-artist who has had a hand in some of notable Nike Sportswear and SB releases of the past, had any involvement in these Nike SB’s.
