About a month ago, when Sneaker News first dropped the information about Nike’s collaboration with Miami-based artist Freegums, the entire LeBron community wondered, “Who is Freegums”? In an effort to give the LeBron 9 some local flavor, Nike Basketball partnered up with the local artist, creating this sick colorway inspired by his signature works. InsideTheSneakerBox got a chance to ask Freegums a few questions during the private Freegums x Nike LeBron 9 event last weekend, and if you view the full video below, you’ll find out how this collaboration came to happen and where you can find an ‘easter egg’ in the shoe (Freegums’ initials).
