AIR JORDAN LOW WEEK PART 2

Low-cut version of signature basketball shoes have always been treated as a second-rate to the original. For the Air Jordan, that certainly wasn’t the case, because the man himself has stated that he likes balling in low-top kicks, even prompting his label to create some low-cut PEs for him after the AJ1 and AJ2 released in shorter versions. The Air Jordan XI reintroduced the low-top appeal (albeit the IE Low version), urging the ‘Low’ became a staple; it wasn’t until very late 2006 that the Air Jordan V got that chopped-down treatment, releasing curiously for women only. In the final weeks of 2006, Jordan Brand released the first-ever Air Jordan V Low in this UNC-inspired colorway, and followed it with a White/Metallic Silver colorway just two weeks after, quickly opening and closing the door on the Air Jordan V Low experiment. These weren’t a massive hit by any means, and the two lone Air Jordan V Low releases being in womens sizes certainly didn’t its cause.
