Of the three New Balance runners celebrating 25th anniversaries in 2013, only the 996 didn’t get a direct celebration of its birthday. Whereas the 574 and 576 came through with OG styles, the NB996 noted the occasion indirectly, with REVlite updates including the original grey colorway. Here are a couple more New Balance 996 REVlite releases that fit in with the brand’s traditional aesthetic, grey/navy and navy/red pairs in suede and mesh that look identical to the ’88s, save that updated foam wedge at the heel.
