It’s hard to believe that Kevin Durant didn’t make it to the Western Conferece All-Star team during his rookie season, but what’s more astonishing is the fact that KD had to sit out two years before playing on theSunday night show. The man who likes to refer to himself as “The Servant” did serve his time in the NBA’s rookie-sophomore game though, and today we get a refreshed look at his first official All-Star signature shoe – the Nike Zoom KD 1 that he wore during the 2009 Rookie Challenge in Phoenix. Featuring an almost-Creamsicle look of orange and navy, the shoe sports a star graphic on the medial side of the sneaker while the outer’s burnt orange contrasts with blue laces. Durant would go on to be MVP of that game thanks to 46 points in a flash of what was to come.
