The recent New Balance “Authors Collection” utilized the insoles of the shoes included to make callouts to famous pieces of literature using very specific type sets. They’ve again switched up the lettering on the New Balance 574 shown here, although it’s definitely not a part of that pack so it’s unclear what the shoe might be referencing. Not that it needs a theme – the shoe manages to stand out regardless thanks to the thoroughly black treatment and the little bit of honeycombed synthetic leather.
