Air Trainer 1 Fragment Design Us Open Release Date

As expected, NikeLab continues their series of premium constructions of the Air Trainer 1 in collaboration with fragment design for the next major tennis tournament, the US Open. Releasing in conjunction with this year’s event, the “US Open” Air Trainer pack presents two colorways of the original cross-trainer that also doubled as a tennis shoe for Nike athletes like John McEnroe and a young Andre Agassi. Like the previous releases for the French Open and Wimbledon, the this set also takes color inspiration from the coinciding tennis tournament, outfitting the Air Trainer 1 in tonal navy blue and all-white colorways. The US Open editions also get one more special detail, the checkered tongue logos associated with John McEnroe who won the tournament four times in his career. The fragment design x NikeLab Air Trainer SP “US Open” collection will release online at Nike.com and select NikeLab locations on August 27th, 2015.
