Little did we know that the Air Jordan 3 Retro ’88 would open the floodgates to “Nike Air” hitting Jordan Retros in their original form. After that February 2013 release, we saw an influx of Nike Air on the tongues of the Air Jordan 1 Retro High OG, but it has yet to reach any other model. We’re still awaiting the Air Jordan 6 “Maroon”, which is currently rumored for an early December release, as well as the Air Jordan 4 “White/Cement”, which will be the key draw during All-Star weekend. These new photos reveal that perhaps the Air Jordan V will finally feature the original branding (the first time since 1999), but we’ll be quick to point out that that dimensions of the logo are a bit off from what we’re expecting (it should be considerably larger). These could be an early sample of some kind, but it’s exciting to see that Holiday 2016 might be the season of release for this gem of the sneaker. Stay tuned for more updates, but in the meantime, let us know what you think about Nike Air returning to the Air Jordan V.
