Is Damian Lillard the top athlete for adidas Hoops? John Wall is out of the picture, James Harden is still trying to keep consistent, and we’re hearing rumors that Derrick Rose and the brand might actually split up in the middle of their massive contract. Lillard has emerged as the top dog for now, and he’s putting up some insane numbers to back up that claim. Last night against the Pelicans, he debuted his second signature shoe, the adidas D Lillard 2, in a simple “Home” colorway of white, red, and black with the added twist of a gum sole. This sudden appearance would’ve been a nice opportunity to create some energy around the signature line given that it didn’t quite make that much noise in its first year, but with a redesign and continuously evolving star in Damian, the D Lillard 2 might fare better regardless.
