Nike Has A “Chicago” Colorway Of The Air Max 90 Coming

Nothing is trendier than saying you hail from “The 6” lately. Seriously did Toronto ever go by that nickname before Drake proclaimed it so loudly? Nike Sportswear got caught up in the wave with an awesome new Nike Air Max 1 “The 6” which featured a stark black and white contrasting colorway and the awesome bring-back of the tiny Swoosh branding on the mudguard. More city-centric Air Max pairs are looming in the future too, as Chi-Town is the latest metropolis to get treated to their very own colorway. Here the Nike Air Max 90 serves as the canvas, with a monochromatic Cool Grey upper hitting in a fresh use of nubuck. The inner lining sports a unique green pattern and the insole features some bold red lettering (we still don’t know what it’s spelling out just yet). Perhaps the biggest draw here isn’t readily seen until you look at the shoe’s icy bottom, as an array of Chicago’s downtown city streets get some shine in the form of a bold map print. What do you think? Check out more photos below and stay tuned for a forthcoming release.
