Kevin Durant To Sign With Golden State Warriors

Sn Image Na

After days of deliberation, courtship, private meetings, and tweets from pro athletes, Kevin Durant has finally made his decision – he’ll be taking his talents to the Bay Area, joining two-time MVP Steph Curry, All-Stars Draymond Green and Klay Thompson, and a coaching staff that helped guide the Warriors to a record-setting 73 win season. This comes as a bit of a surprise as many believe OKC to be the front-runner to lock down KD’s talents, but it appears that the best team in the West just got significantly stronger.

The terms of the contract appear to be for two years at $54 million, with an option to leave after one season. This means that KD could go through the free agency circus again next Summer to get an even bigger payday. What are your thoughts about KD leaving OKC? Will this take a negative hit on his brand, like what happened with LeBron when he chose to leave for Miami? Read his full statement on The Player’s Tribune.
