Just previewed yesterday, today we get an even better look as well as a confirmed release date for the latest collaboration from mastermind Japan and adidas Originals. Sticking to the all-black-sneaker-with-skull-logos motif once gain, mastermind presents two of their most impressive and sure to be coveted models yet: the NMD XR1 and Tubular Instinct. What should easily become one of the most sought after NMD releases so far, mastermind gives the XR1 iteration a stretchy mesh upper with plenty of their skull and crossbones logo, found on the tongue, midfoot, and heel loop with reflective striped laces to finish off the tough look.
Things only get tougher for the Tubular Instinct, presented in a premium black leather upper with a large skull and crossbones on the heel, reflective stripes laces, and an added zipper enclosure at the rear for easier access. It all results in a decidedly biker/punk aesthetic for the lifestyle silhouette.
