Last month, Nike confirmed in an official statement that the brand would no longer be working with A$AP Bari or his VLONE label. This sudden development was in reaction to a video that was posted on Instagram Stories by one of Bari’s associates, and the controversial nature of the content led to Nike officially parting ways with the Harlem-based creative. However, noted sneaker info leaker Sole Heat On Feet notes that a VLONE x Air Force 1 High in what is presumably an all-white colorway is set for a release in October for $200.
Nike’s strict policies regarding these matters suggest that this release with either be scrapped or billed completely differently from the current VLONE designation. It would be rather shocking if another VLONE x Nike collaboration released, but stay tuned for more developments.
