Ben Felderstein If the way Nike handled the 20th anniversary of the Air Max 97 is any indication, then 2018 is bound to be filled with a bounty of Air Max Plus releases. The silhouette inspired by palm trees waving through the Florida breeze is kicking off its inevitable resurgence with two simplistic colorways. With consumers having their choice of a tonal black and white selection, the only relief comes by way of the customary Tn Air branding on the sneaker’s heel. Keeping the wearer in mind, the shoe’s designer, Sean McDowell, aimed to make the top-down view of this silhouette as attractive as the medial or lateral angle. Look for the sneaker’s signature striping to debut in a plethora of new colors to further that aesthetic as the year progresses.
While no specific release date has surfaced, expect these two variations to kick-start the 20th anniversary of the Air Max Plus sometime in January of next year.
