Sneaker News Legendary street artist Shepard Fairey has had his fair share of exposure to the world of sneakers, working closely with several footwear brands on special projects that help tell the story of the impact a shoe can have on the surrounding culture. This time around, it is Fairey who is the focal point of the homage as adidas Skateboarding partners with renowned curator of street art Beyond The Streets to celebrate the life and work of Fairey with an ambitious limited-edition collector’s item bundle. Included in this set is the reworked Samba ADV silhouette alongside a number of accessories such as a skate deck, Montana spray can, a large paint bucket with Fairey’s signature motifs, and other items.
This bundle will be sold exclusively through the Beyond The Streets gift shop for $300 USD beginning June 9th. A portion of the proceeds will benefit Homeboy Industries, a non-profit community-based organization that serves high-risk, formerly gang-involved men and women with a continuum of free services and programs.
