adidas’ ZX: Roots of Running exhibition has given us quite a decent glimpse into the future of their ZX line-up, showcasing — in a very museum-like fashion — the almost countless iterations. While many an archival model stood boldly in their overall vintage aesthetics, the German Sportswear label gave first access to some of its forthcoming silhouettes. With the ZX 4000 4D teasing what’s to come for the innovative technology, it seems the Three Stripes has quite a few tricks up its sleeve for 2019. Possibly the most exciting of the many announcements is the ZX 10.000 C, a continuation of the 1.000 family, which arrives in a most colorful fitting. Donned in an almost cotton candy arrangement, the luxe mesh textures can be found throughout the entire upper and profile accents alongside many layered suede panelings that exhibit quite an aggressive design language. Though modern in its detailing, the upcoming ZX 10.000 C — which will surely be hitting retailers some time in 2019 — displays a confident admiration to its older brethren.
