Michael Le New York based imprint Aimé Leon Dore has outdone themselves since the start of 2019, upgrading their retail flagship this past month with the present revealing their breakthrough sneaker collaboration done in partnership with New Balance. Taking to the 997 with the colorful ideals they’ve made their trademark, the label is pushing asymmetric design onto the classic NB 997, toting its tried-and-true design in a modified fashion true to themselves in every way. Towards the forefoot is a traditional grey scheme that harks back to the Boston brand’s staple colorway while transitioning into a mosaic of vibrant hues at the heel counter. Shades of pink, blue, and yellow come adorned onto both the left and right pairs, mismatched with one opting for a somewhat darker variation of the next.
